‘I am exactly where I belong.’

A holiday message from Davis College student Sue-Ellen Ochanda in honor of Giving Tuesday.

“2020 has been an incredibly difficult year, but despite this year’s challenges, being at Davis College has truly been a dream come true.

Davis College has fostered a true sense of community.

From every touchpoint, update, and message of support I receive, I have never been handled with such care before. Knowing that these people are managing their own struggles and challenges while caring for me has shown me how powerful this community is. This experience has made me feel like I am exactly where I belong.

The Davis community is unique, dynamic, and resilient. I know that many applicants sadly were not able to enroll this year because of COVID-19, but I believe every student deserves the same opportunities that I have had.

I hope you will consider investing in Davis College. This community has changed my life, and with your support, so many young students and future entrepreneurs like me can continue learning, thriving, and pursuing our goals.

Thank you so much.

Best,
Sue-Ellen Ochanda, Class of 2022"

Sue-Ellen and 1,200 of her peers thrived during seven months of online learning.

Campus has now reopened and we need your help to ensure they can continue their life-changing education.

This week, every dollar is being matched up to $50,000 in honor of #GivingTuesday.

The annual cost to educate a Davis College or Akilah student is $3,000. Your donation of $1,500 will be matched to provide a full year of education.

With your support, we can empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate this crisis and transform their communities.

Will you provide the gift of education to students like Sue-Ellen?
